Business Credit Cards

Compare UK business credit cards by representative APR, annual fees, 0% purchase offers, rewards, employee cards and foreign transaction costs. Eligibility and credit limits are subject to provider approval.

Repayment type matters

Revolving credit, pay-in-full charge cards and Flexible Payment Option cards are compared as distinct products.

Compare total cost

Review APR, annual fees and transaction charges before applying.

Business status matters

Eligibility, credit limits and pricing depend on provider assessment.

Pricing

What does representative APR mean?

Always compare representative APR alongside annual fees and transaction charges.

Representative APR includes

  • Purchase interest used in the published example
  • Relevant compulsory annual card fees used in the representative calculation
  • Standard assumptions designed to make cards easier to compare

Representative APR does not tell you

  • The exact APR you personally / your business will receive
  • The value of cashback or rewards
  • Whether you meet the lender's eligibility criteria
  • Your likely credit limit
  • Whether the card is the cheapest option if you always pay in full

If you always clear the balance in full, annual fees, rewards and foreign transaction fees may matter more than the purchase interest rate.

Some business charge cards do not publish a representative APR. We show their pricing basis separately rather than treating the figures as directly comparable.

Purchase offers vs standard interest-free periods

A multi-month 0% purchase offer is different from a standard interest-free period (IFP) that applies when you repay in full by the due date. Offers end; a standard purchase rate usually applies afterwards. Minimum repayments and fees can still apply. 0% does not mean the card has no fees or conditions.

Rewards & team spend

Rewards, employee cards and foreign use

Useful features — but only after you understand APR, annual fees and FX costs.

Rewards

Cashback or points only outweigh costs if you clear balances and the fees fit your spend. Check caps, exclusions and redemption rules.

Employee cards

Additional cards, limits and controls vary by provider. Confirm fees and who is liable for employee spend.

Foreign use

FX fees and cash-withdrawal charges abroad can raise cost materially. Compare the foreign transaction fee before overseas spend.

Illustrative repayment exceeds estimated monthly interest. Does not model cash advances separately.

Liability

Who is responsible for business credit-card debt?

Liability depends on the business structure, card agreement and any personal guarantee.

Some cards may make the business liable, while some agreements may also create personal liability for directors or owners. Check the card agreement and any guarantee terms before applying. This is not legal advice.

Suitability

Who might consider a business credit card?

Business credit cards are generally for short-term purchasing flexibility — not long-term funding.

May be worth considering if

  • You want to separate business and personal spending
  • You need short-term purchasing flexibility
  • You want employee cards
  • You value cashback or rewards
  • You want centralised expense tracking
  • You regularly clear the balance

May be less suitable if

  • You need long-term borrowing
  • You expect to carry large balances for long periods
  • You need funding for major capital expenditure
  • Your business regularly struggles to make repayments
  • A lower-cost loan or overdraft would better suit the purpose

Business credit card or business overdraft?

Neither option is universally better — compare structure, cost and how you will use the credit.

Consumer and business credit-card protections may differ. Do not assume personal-card protections apply identically to a business-card transaction.

Regulation

Business-card protections can differ

Regulatory treatment and protections can depend on the card, borrower, agreement and transaction.

Business credit cards should not automatically be treated as having the same protections as personal consumer credit cards. Do not assume every business-card purchase has the same Section 75 protections as a personal consumer credit card. Where product-level applicability is not verified, check provider / agreement terms.

Where relevant, check the exact provider and activity on the FCA Register.
